Projects

Organize videos, track status, open the editor, and export individual or bulk renders from the Projects hub.

Every video you generate becomes a project — an editable draft with scenes, assets, and export history. The Projects page is your library and control center.

Projects list

The Projects view shows all videos tied to your workspace. Sort and filter by status, template, platform, or last updated.

  • Draft — generated but not exported recently.
  • Ready — saved in editor; eligible for export.
  • Exported — at least one successful MP4 on record.
  • Archived — hidden from default filters but recoverable.

Open a project

Click a row to open the scene editor. From there you edit, save, export, or duplicate. The project title and thumbnail come from the first scene and your Create prompt.

Create new projects

New projects start in the Create flow — not from an empty project shell. Each Create run produces a distinct project with its own timeline and credits history.

Tip

Duplicate an existing project to reuse structure for a new topic. Swap script and media without regenerating from scratch.

Rename and organize

Click the project title in the editor or use the row menu on Projects to rename. Clear names help when bulk exporting or attaching projects to campaigns.

  • Include campaign or client name in the title.
  • Add platform suffix: "Product launch — TikTok".
  • Archive completed work to reduce clutter.

Project status workflow

  1. Generate via Create — project appears as Draft.
  2. Edit and save in the scene editor — moves to Ready.
  3. Export MP4 — marked Exported with download link.
  4. Optional: add to Campaign for batch publishing.

Save and autosave

Vidquel autosaves frequently, but explicit Save before export is required for a guaranteed consistent render. The Projects list shows last saved timestamp on hover.

Deletion is permanent

Deleting a project is permanent — exports and editor state are removed. Download MP4s first if you need archives.

Single export

From a project row or inside the editor, click Export. Pick resolution allowed by your plan and confirm credit estimate. Download when the job completes.

Bulk export

Select multiple Ready projects via checkboxes, then Bulk export from the toolbar. Ideal for weekly content batches or multi-platform variants of the same script.

  • Only Ready projects with saved editor state are included.
  • Progress shows per-row status — success, failed, retry.
  • Retry failed rows without re-exporting successes.

Link to campaigns

Attach projects to campaigns for grouped publishing and batch operations. One project can belong to one campaign at a time — move it from the campaign detail view.

Projects outside campaigns

Campaigns are optional. Solo creators can live entirely in Projects — create, edit, export, and publish one file at a time without campaign overhead.

Templates and metadata

Each project stores its source template, platform preset, and duration target. This metadata appears in the detail drawer and helps filter the list later.

Collaboration (Business)

Business plans expose shared workspaces. Projects created by teammates appear in the shared list with editor and export permissions based on seat role.

Storage limits

Projects count toward workspace storage on paid plans. Archive or delete old drafts to free space. Exported MP4s should live in your own storage for long-term backup.

Tip

Use consistent naming when you run many variants — bulk export and publishing depend on spotting the right row quickly.
