Campaigns
Batch video production with quick build or manual setup — pause, resume, retry, and export at scale.
Campaigns group multiple videos under one goal — product launch, weekly series, or A/B hooks. Control batch generation, editing, export, and publishing from a single dashboard.
When to use campaigns
Use campaigns when you produce more than one related video. Solo one-offs can stay in Projects; campaigns add queue management and bulk actions.
- Multi-variant hooks for the same offer.
- Regional or language cuts with shared structure.
- Client deliverables tracked as one package.
- Scheduled publishing across platforms.
Create a campaign
From Campaigns in the sidebar, click New campaign. Name it, set default template and platform if desired, then add projects via quick build or manual linking.
Quick build vs manual
Quick build
Quick build generates multiple projects from one brief. Enter a base prompt and variant instructions — Vidquel creates separate projects per variant automatically.
- Open the campaign and choose Quick build.
- Enter shared settings: template, platform, duration, voice.
- Add variant lines — different hooks, CTAs, or audiences.
- Start build — projects appear in the campaign table as they complete.
Tip
Quick build saves time when scripts share structure but differ in opening lines or CTAs.
Manual setup
Manual setup links existing projects or creates empty slots you fill one by one. Best when each video needs a distinct template or heavily custom editing.
- Link ready projects from the workspace.
- Create placeholder slots, then run Create for each slot.
- Mix templates inside one campaign when needed.
Campaign dashboard
The campaign table shows every linked project with status: generating, editing, ready, exporting, published, or failed. Filter columns to find blockers quickly.
Pause and resume
Long quick builds and bulk exports can pause from the campaign toolbar. Paused jobs retain queue position; resume when credits or team capacity return.
- Pause — stops new jobs from starting; in-flight jobs may finish.
- Resume — continues queue in prior order.
- Useful overnight or when approaching credit limits.
Important
Pausing does not revert completed projects — review partial batches before resuming to avoid duplicate variants.
Retry failed jobs
Failed generation or export rows show a Retry action. Retry runs only the failed project without restarting successful siblings — important for large batches.
- Identify rows with Failed status.
- Open the error tooltip for cause — credits, media, timeout.
- Fix underlying issue in the project editor if needed.
- Click Retry on the row or Retry all failed from the toolbar.
Bulk export
Export all ready projects from Export all in the campaign header. Confirm resolution and credit total. Downloads attach per project; failures stay retryable.
Export partial batches
Select specific rows with checkboxes to export a subset — useful when only half the variants passed review.
Editing in campaigns
Click any row to open the scene editor. Changes save to the underlying project. Return to the campaign table to track which variants are approved.
Tip
Agree on review criteria before bulk export — hook, CTA, legal disclaimer — to avoid re-export credit spend.
Publishing from campaigns
After export, use Publish on the campaign to push multiple MP4s to connected social accounts. Map projects to destinations per row. See the Publishing guide for Connect Social setup.
Campaign status lifecycle
- Draft — created, no projects yet.
- Building — quick build or generation in progress.
- In review — projects ready for human QA.
- Exporting — bulk render running.
- Complete — all targets exported or published.
Credits and planning
Campaign credit totals equal the sum of child projects. The campaign header shows estimated spend before quick build and before bulk export.
Archive and duplicate
Archive completed campaigns to declutter the list. Duplicate a campaign to rerun the same variant structure with a new prompt batch next month.
